| | so, this weekend was a lot of fun. I went to SF with Frank on Saturday. We checked out this Japantown fair, but it was gray and windy so not much was happening (the Chinese street fair in Oakland last year was waaay better). Things I learned: I do not like mochi, the bean paste is good, the "dough" is more than slightly nauseating. 2. lime candy is really really sour, but good. 3. you can see a really funny show even if it is in the leather/fetish part of town. Yeah we saw this pirate show called "Lusty Booty" and it was awesome. The "theatre" was rinky dink the audience sat about twenty people but it was damn funny, a tale of Handsome Jack the Pirate (who is also Father John, for "reasons to complex to get into here"), Isadora Spankbottom, Beauchemp de Beauchemp, Toady, Nanny Bothersome, Caricature Bill, Girly Pete, Unga Dunga and more. DARRR! (it costs $15 is totally worth it and they are playing through early sept, should you be interested). The audience reeked of alcohol (they were selling shots, illegally I think) and it was great. Now I am back home, and it seems rather boring... oh well.
