Reno
| | I'm in reno, safe and sound, thank god. Oh mother of pearl, I got on the road about 4:45pm and didn't end up in Reno until about 8:30, stupid motherfucking traffic. I moved in alright, thanks to my wonderful strong and kind friends Sterling Nelson and Lata Nott. I was able to get the last Uhaul in town at 7:45 am (bastards don't open until eight, but they apparently give away U hauls at 5:30 am if you go out there). So yeah, in three hours we moved all of my shit... it was hot and hard and wow we were all comparing how sweaty we were (Sterling's chin dribbling and sopping arms beat my stiff salty locks of hair and moist arms). So after moving all my shit in, taking a nice bath (my new bathtub isn't the worlds greatest, but then my whole apartment is done in 70s glamor... sans rust and alvacado green, so the less classy 70s glamor), and getting dressed (hard to do when all of your clean clothes seem to be pajamas) I drove off to Reno. Luckily my good friends (read comedians) Eddie Izard and Lewis Black kept me company. I am not a stress driver, in fact its safe to say that I am ill equipped to deal with I-80 traffic.
As I said before, I am here in Reno. Frank's place is really nice, actually (didn't have high hopes). He's reading over my shoulder as I type this, so I guess I will have to edit for my present company. Reno is a flourecent kitschy hellhole stuck like some kind of hallucinogenic gem in the desert... from all I can tell (been here about two hours). It's scary to think about Frank living here for three years (or even the possibility that I might live here, but I won't even dwell on that, the whole Frank and Amber long distance thing... I shall instead worry about my driving test on September 7th). So... yeah, I am not sure what I am doing (in general, sadly), but I am with Frank and barring accidents or world disasters it ought to be fun. I am going to finish my tea and then... well I'll let you know.
