| Lydia the Tattooed Lady makes very happy.
It all started with Cottleston Pie, as these things often do. Ed remembered Cottleston Pie (sung by Rowlf), and we watched it (asking questions that one cannot answer such as "cottleston cottleston cottleston pie, a fly cannot bird but a bird can fly" and my favorite "cottleston cottleston cottleston pie, why does a chicken? I don't know why"), and then, of course I remembered Kermit singing a song about a pig named Lydia (and how that can be made to rhyme with Encyclopedia). Apparently it's a very famous Groucho Marx song (from a movie he made in 1939), I watched a clip of it, and was really fun (my first thought was, holy shit, he's so young, he was just under fifty, which I guess for Groucho is young indeed). Man, I love the Muppets, I love Rowlf, really (Kermit, too). No one seems to sing for laughs on television anymore (on purpose anyway).
