| | okay, first up. I snapped at Sterling again today... well this morning I guess. I'm pretty sure he didn't take it to heart, and I feel guiltyish now, so, yeah, sorry. I have just been so busy, and know I am going to be nothing but busy... for a while now, that I am: 1. on edge in general and 2. feeling intensely lonely (this may have something to do with doing loads of homework on a Friday, which always makes me feel bad, compounded with the notion that I am not doing anything OTHER than homework this weekend... which is worse). Frank is not doing anything this weekend, and Sterling has another midterm on monday... me I drowning in history. Seriously, I read... a whole bunch today. 80 or so pages from one book, thirty from another... glanced at a third... still haven't gotten more than thirty pages into the Chinese history book... I am going to do badly in that class. Oh, I got an email from my Japanese history professor, he told me I am doing well... as in B/B+... goddamnit! He also told me not to give up, and that it was better to do something halfassedly, then not do it at all (well, something to that effect). I think I know what I want to write my research paper on, I sent him off a potential idea today, I hope that 1. its not hard to research (especially since I speak neither Korean nor Japanese) and 2. he likes it.
In other news... I found this website (through someone else)... http://www.bobsagetisgod.com and that disturbs me (was never a full house fan). And I saw a great documentary called the celluloid closet, queer theory in film. I like studying queer theory, and this explains something about me. I tend to like studying things I know nothing about, hence the Japanese history and not being asian. I mean, I took Mexican-American history, and I am part Mexican, but wow, I felt more out of place there than I ever do in Asian history classes. Now glbtq in film... and I am not g, l, b, t, or q! Anyway, its a good documentary, although I think it is around ten years old, you should totally see it! (I think late in my collegiate career, I am suddenly becoming a "film" person, which is cool and snobby in all its own way!)
