Amber goes out!
| | Well, tonight, in a word, rocked. Frank and I went to the movies, we saw Match Point. It was alright, I nearly killed Woody Allen (my god the main characters were -so- stupid, you watch them make stupid life choices and are helpless to stop them), but the end made it worth while. Then later we went to this club called the Green Room and saw the Electro Sonics with (I'm told) Sam Minae (on bass) and Ryan Hall (guitar)... the drummer is anonymous as of right now. And, I really liked the first set, I also found out I really really like Gin and Tonics; they are awesome. The second set was... well, one song, and the keyboardist (I think) kept hitting this awful note that made the -whole- crowd wince. But yeah, it was really fun, a lot of cigarette smoke but really really fun. Plus next door was this dance club, and I had my back to the conjoining wall, so every time there was a lull I would put my head against the wall and listen to technoey goodness.
Then, everything was so wonderfully snowy (it's been sort of spreckling [is that the snow word for sprinkling?] all night long) we played in the snow. I suck at making snowballs and I throw like a girl., so Frank had double advantage. Total fun, very wet/cold.
So yeah, tonight, rocked.

For the record (but mainly to give MAJOR props where props are due), the drummer's name is Caleb Dollister, who also has his own working jazz combo, plays with a UNR jazz combo, and generally whoops ass all around.
