| | so, this has been running around in my mind. Last night I was asking Sterling about money and it turns out that he's a trust fund baby. Which would make him... the richest person I know. And, this is my own thing, because I was raised strangely, but I burst out laughing (you should have seen the guilty look on his face). I laughed because well, I don't currently have a lot of money, I never have and it was either laugh or feel jealous. I don't like feeling jealous, but I do enjoy a good cackle. I mean, I'm hopefully going to go to grad school and work in an archive for hardworking middle class dough (that is the optimistic plan). Sterling is hoping to follow Irene around the world... and he can -do- that. He could live in France for a while (not a long while apparently, he was so uncomfortable I didn't ask him to name an amount, but if it's enough to put a decent downpayment on a house, it's more than enough) and do nothing. And... I hate that, really, I do. It's not a flattering part of me, but it's a part of me. So, I settle for the whole thing being ridiculous;who the hell is a trust fund baby, anyway? That falls in the same category as debutants, something silly that doesn't happen to -real- people. Plus, imagining Sterling in his old station wagon and ratty cords as having a silver spoon... I can't do that without laughing.
Hrm... sort of a Captain Carrot thing (only, he's nowhere near as honest or likeable, and I'm okay with that).
Anyway, I'm watching Newsies because if one musical with young people was good, two in 24 hours is better (and I like Max Casella, who was 25... poor man. He's so short he can play a middle teen. I feel better. Oh god, he's going to be 40 in a few years). I love musicals
