50 ways to leave your lover...well okay not really
| | So, yeah, still haven't finished paper, but know what i'm doing, which is ...awesome.
Here is a list I wrote a while ago of 50 things that I love (coming up with 50 things that you love is a pretty fun activity, when you have some time, you should try it).
1. when the right song comes on when I need it
2. yogurt with the fruit on the bottom
3. waking up and knowing I don’t have to be anywhere by any time
4. enchiladas
5. twilight
6. when I hear someone hit a note so pure it makes me shiver
7. telling a joke so inside that only a few people in the WORLD know it
8. feeling velvet (and silk, and some polysynthetic blends)
9. dancing… even if no one else is and everyone is staring at me
10. finding an opportunity to use the word recherche in conversation (it is a French word you use when someone is using superfluous French words)
11. telling stories
12. watching little kids sleep (its not creepy, really)
13. buying the perfect gift for someone
14. when people rhyme accidentally
15. reading Fox In Socks (by Dr. Seuss) out loud
16. playing in the first heavy rain of the season
17. eating day old birthday cake and soda for breakfast (only once a year… the day after my birthday)
18. being able to recall obscure information when I need it most
19. making someone laugh really hard
20. getting mail and doing the mail dance (emails are good, but not as good)
21. anticipating something fun happening for days beforehand (and having it happen, otherwise it’s no fun)
22. reading a book in one sitting
23. wearing my boyfriend’s shirts (they smell like him)
24. talking with kids (kids are the most awesome people)
25. unstructured writing (writing my thoughts) like a letter or a journal
26. singing along perfectly with a hard song (ex Modern Major General [Gilbert and Sullivan])
27. finishing a crossword (especially the New York Times)
28. going out to a play
29. being able to buy three or more CDs (or books) at once
30. staging a scene in a public place (dramatic comedic whatever)
31. witty repartee
32. when a baritone sings a note and then glissandos down an octave
33. winning an argument (or getting to the point where the other person’s retort is ‘shut up’)
34. getting dressed up
35. knowing I completed I set out to do, and that I did it well
36. being able to talk to someone for hours, knowing that I don’t have to impress or entertain him or her
37. the ocean even though it scares me
38. playing badminton (and winning… but even just the playing is awesome)
39. Good Earth original tea (caffeinated, of course)
40. Clothes just out of the dryer on a cold day
41. Being really silly/absurd with someone
42. Claussen whole Kosher Dill Pickles (the ones in the cheese section of the store)
43. Getting a foot massage
44. Getting a sincere compliment (no matter how badly worded)
45. Making a meal for someone special and getting to watch them eat (and enjoy?) it
46. Ironing clothes
47. The whole concept of saints (God’s bureaucracy)
48. Bluish purple hydrangeas
49. Going to an Asian market and buying candy (even if I don’t know it is)
50. The sound of a dinner party
