puppy love
| I want a pet.
I've wanted a cuddly pet for as long as I can remember, but I'm horrendously allergic to most furry creatures. It's always bothered me, because I always wanted a cat (I am probably the -most- allergic to cats, although mice/rats/gerbils/hampsters are a close subcategory). I am so a cat person, except my body doesn't agree with me, like at all. I know I can deal with some dogs (my grandparent's Chihuaha Chicho and I seem to do okay, I mean except for the part where he steals all my grandfather's attention). So, I would need to get a dog... maybe a poodle. Frank always put his foot down at the thought of a poodle (or a Bichon Friese, not sure how he feels about Wheaton terriers, schnauzers, those crested dogs, american hairless terries and the like), it offends his manliness I think. But I want a dog, if nothing else he/she would give me a reason to clean up my apartment.
Having a dog is going on my list of things to do when I achieve my goal of being a fabulous and successful archivist. After I get my house and my good condition used car and a good wardrobe (I said -archivist- not -millionaire-).
Because being the crazy bird lady (or lizard lady, or -fish- lady) just doesn't have that flair (I -would- be the crazy cat lady, but you have no idea how much Sphynx cats -cost-).
