hello again.
| So why haven't I been posting here?
No, that's not rhetorical, I demand answers!
Is it because of my wrists (which still hurt)? Have I moved away from this blog? Is it because I live with someone at whom I can spout impromptu lectures every time I get the urge?
Is it twitter?
IS IT?
Sigh. Well, Internet, I can't really tell you. I can tell you that I am like neck deep in primary research. I wish I had chosen the history of puppies or something instead of AIDS in Sacramento. I bet puppy history wouldn't be full of sadness. I've just finished reading ten years worth of Sacramento's gay newspaper Mom Guess What? and it's been serious overload. In 1980 I got to know some journalist/activists (and the attitude of MGW was pretty joyful), and then by 1988 so many people have died! So, then I had to take a break and cry over a doctor who I had never heard of before February, who died when I was three (Dr. Harvey Thompson, opened his practice to the gay community in 1978, died at age 46, worked up until three days before he died!).
"Mr Nimoy, I cam as soon as I heard what happened centuries ago!"
I had to call my mom (who deals with death a lot, as a nurse [and an oncology nurse at that]). Then when I wasn't tearing up, I had dinner and went home.
How does one get into puppy history, anyway?
