Sigh... I'm at Sterling's right now, sleeping, or preparing to sleep, under their kitchen table.
Seriously, I'm currently under a table.
Yesterday was awesome (well, saturday night)
So, I worked until four pm, lame-ish, but whatever. Then Sterling and I prepped to go out. It's so damn hot/humid here. Not like DC was, but still, nasty. Sterling's housemate Caitlyn let me borrow her shoes, they were really nice (in them I was almost as tall as Sterling, something that I haven't experience since junior high). We at the Silver Dragon: Ye Olde Greasy Chopstick of Davis (well after Mr. Chan's). Sterling wore... well a Frank outfit actually: Jeans (tight) and t-shirt (VERY tight)... goddamn Sterling is hot. First we went to 815 L, and it wasn't so hot. It was Latin Theme night (the Top 40 latin station was hosting) but we made a point to get out on the floor. Alone... with everyone at the bar watching us. Stering is awesome and didn't mind. We 'flailed' all over that floor. I'm seriously walking the line between linedancing and breakdancing (I bet you didn't know those even -shared- a line). So when the techno set (3 songs?) was replaced with hiphop/polka, we bailed. We ended up at the Rage, sort of lame (I mean it is -the- 18 and up saturday place, so lots o' people, but lots of 18 year olds). Still we made our way to the breakdance floor and strutted our stuff. I recognized a couple of guys from coming before (and the last time I was at the Rage was like July), they are my people, I'm afraid. I'm afraid because one of them is -clearly- older and heavily influenced by 1980s Michael Jackson (I bet he can do Thriller perfectly, I know he can moonwalk). They played a techno set for us and I nearly died on the floor, but seriously watever. I had a BALL. Dancing is fun, but dancing with Sterling is a LOT of fun. Not many men whirl on the dancefloor (other than my fagther the crazy dancer... okay I refuse to see parallels), also not many men don't need to dance -on- you (or you on them) to dance -with- you. Then like a gentleman, after we returned home, he gave me his bed (after the techno set it just didn't pick up again). True, he just went downstairs and slept with Irene, but the gesture was nice. Especially now, due to computer issues, that I am relegated to the floor (poor planning means that I am without blanket or pillow and this floor is disgusting)
So, anther evening where I didn't make a fool of myself and I had a good time. I think that my moving to Citrus Heights will be good for my friendship with Sterling (as it is if I'm not physically around he doesn't really think about seeing me... which sounds meaner than it is).
Now to sleep until six am.
