Rescue Me
| | I've been watching Rescue Me on DVD (please pardon the rhyme). And… I have a problem, I care about the main character (Tommy, played by Dennis Leary) too much. I know it's a bad idea, the man is a –mess- and he makes one poor choice after another. But I –hope-, I hope for him. I want him to get better, and yet I know (for dramatic purposes if nothing else) it's only going to get worse.
Also, this show seems to be a bit of a showcase for Mr. Leary's virility. I mean how many women is he going to fuck during the course of this show? It unnerves me a little, and I don’t really think of myself as a prude.
