| | I had a pretty decent day today. I woke up, fully intending to go swimming (Sterling read the posted times wrong, the pool we went to was closed), instead we went out to eat came back and played Fury of Dracula. Pretty sweet.
School is... going. My Gothic Spirit class will be an education if nothing else. I know so -very- little about Gothic History (this would be the Gothic period from the 12th to the 14th century, not the Gothic Revival of the 19th century). Although I do get to say Aristotelian (pronounced A-ris-to-TAY-lian), which is kind of fun. It's strange to be in a roomful of medieval historians (and humanities people), who are so familiar with this stuff it is irksome, or enviable (makes me want to shout things about my specialized field. Oh yeah? well "Oda Nobunaga!" "Moga!" "Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere!" There, how do -you- like it?). The disease class seems like it will be a good thing, I like the history of diseases (well the cultural history of disease, not the clinical, which is boring). I wasn't a big participant this last class, but that was because the book we read bored me, so instead I wrote a letter to Calen. Not an actual letter that I would send, just a letter to pass the time.
I start (hopefully) my internship next Monday, which is -really- exciting. Stepping stones, Internet, stepping stones.
